2019 Bloom

Our apple orchard is in full bloom! The sound of bees buzzing is hard to escape when you walk outside!

Bloom is a busy time for the farm as we wrap up pruning, prep for spring planting, and see the beginnings of what our crop is going to be for the year.

We count every single bud on a random sample of trees to help us prepare to manage crop load. Just like people, apple trees want to take on too much. So, we need to help them grow the perfect amount they can handle by thinning out the crop.

No matter what, our apple orchard looks forward to welcoming everyone back this fall!
